This 1967 Shelby Mustang GT500 is one of 2,048 fastbacks produced for the model year. It was specified with the Extra Cooling Package, Interior Décor and Courtesy Lighting groups, a fold-down rear seat, power steering, and front disc brakes.

Delivered to City Motors in National City, California, it was won in a contest by its first owners. The car was partially restored and owned by racer Chuck Jones in California before being purchased by Carroll Shelby and Stephen Becker around 1999.

The car was further modified with headers for its 428ci Police Interceptor V8 and a modern air conditioning system was installed at this time. It is further equipped with a four-speed manual transmission, 10-spoke 15″ aluminum wheels, and an AM/FM radio.
