Delivery to Alaska

Alaska is not reachable by a normal road-delivery route at the standard rate: the drive is about 4,500 miles or more through Canada, and many vehicles go by barge. Contact us for a shipping quote before bidding rather than relying on the per-mile rate. Pickup at our St. Petersburg, Florida warehouse is always free, and we can meet carriers you arrange yourself.

Sales tax and registration in Alaska

Alaska has no state sales tax, though some boroughs and cities levy their own local sales tax, so check the rate where you will register the vehicle. We do not collect AK sales tax; you pay it when you register the vehicle.

Titling the vehicle with the Alaska Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV)

Bring the signed title, bill of sale, odometer statement, ID and proof of insurance to an Alaska DMV office. Inspection and emissions rules are limited, but verify current requirements with the state DMV. Because the car must be shipped, plan the registration date around the arrival date.
