This 1968 Ford XL convertible was originally specified in Candyapple Red with a black interior, a powered black top, the GT Equipment Group, power steering, Deluxe belts, an AM radio, and 15″ wheels along with a Z-code 390ci 4V V8 linked to a C-6 automatic. Now black with gold stripes, the car is further equipped with dual spotlights, an Alpine head unit, front disc brakes, and woodgrain interior trim.

Originally finished in Candyapple Red according to the Marti Report, the car was repainted black during the restoration. Exterior features include a power-operated black convertible top, gold side stripes, chrome bumpers, and fender-mounted spotlights that can be turned left to right via independent turning knobs for each side.

The Z-code 390ci V8 was equipped with a four-barrel carburetor from the factory. A secondary electric fuel pump controlled by a switch underneath the dashboard is reportedly fitted.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through the original three-speed automatic transmission.
