About this car

In 2021, a rebuilt 429ci Cobra Jet V8 was retrofitted, and the engine is claimed to have been built with 76cc cylinder heads with larger valves, .030″-over flat-top pistons, a COMP Cams camshaft, COMP Cams springs and rocker arms, Cobra Jet cast-iron manifolds, and an Edelbrock 750-cfm carburetor. Additional modifications include power steering, electric cooling fans, an aluminum radiator, a fan controller, a rebuilt Toploader four-speed manual transmission, a McLeod HD clutch assembly, a Ford 9″ rear end with a Richmond Gear 3.70:1 limited-slip differential, traction bars, replacement springs, a Hurst shifter, and a vintage stereo with an amplifier in the trunk.

The right-side vent-window holder needs repair, and 406 badges have been added and removed 390 badging is included.

Chrome 15″ smoothies are mounted with 275/60 Vitour Galaxy GT tires. The car is equipped with power steering and drum brakes at each corner. The front springs have been replaced, and traction bars have been fitted to the replacement rear leaf springs.

The cabin houses front and rear seating upholstered in dark red vinyl. Interior appointments include a locking glovebox, seatbelts, a Hurst shifter, and a vintage-style cassette stereo with an amplifier mounted in the trunk. The original radio accompanies the car.

The three-spoke steering wheel features a chrome horn ring and frames a horizontal 120-mph speedometer along with gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature. Additional gauges for oil pressure, coolant temperature, and amperage have been installed below the dash, while a tachometer is mounted on the column. The five-digit odometer shows 93k miles, approximately 2k of which were added under current ownership.
