25-Years-Owned, Customized 1961 Ford Galaxie Sunliner Convertible

This 1961 Ford Galaxie Sunliner convertible was refurbished in 2005 with work including a color change, replacement tan convertible top and interior, a dual-exhaust system, and additional mechanical service. The car is powered by a 352ci Ford V8 paired with a three-speed Cruise-O-Matic automatic transmission and also features 14″ American Racing polished wheels, power steering, power-assisted drum brakes, and a retro-look radio.

The car is finished in Burgundy and features a tan convertible top, fender skirts, and and chrome bumpers. The windshield wipers move but do not operate fully.

The 14″ American Racing polished wheels are mounted with Hankook Optimo H724 tires. The car was factory equipped with power steering, front coil springs, and rear leaf springs. Stopping is provided by power-assisted drum brakes at all four corners. In December 2022, the rear brakes were serviced with replacement brake shoes and spring hardware.

The interior was redone during the 2005 refurbishment and features two-tone upholstery, color-coordinated side panels, and a matching dashboard with an aftermarket radio.

The three-spoke steering wheel features a chrome horn ring and fronts a horizontal 120-mph speedometer and gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature. The five-digit odometer shows 57k miles.
