2006 Ducati Multistrada 1000S DS

This 2006 Ducati Multistrada 1000S DS is finished in red with silver graphics, and it is powered by an air- and oil-cooled 992cc desmodromic L-twin paired with a six-speed transmission. The bike rides on an adjustable Öhlins suspension, and it is further equipped with a single-sided swingarm, 17″ five-spoke wheels, triple disc brakes, Marelli electronic ignition and fuel injection, a Staintune exhaust system with under-tail mufflers, and a red-finished trellis frame as well as a clear windscreen, two-up seating, a rear parcel rack, molded side cases, carbon-fiber fenders, and a side stand.

Black-finished 17″ are wrapped in 120/70 front and 180/55 rear Michelin Road 5 tires. Braking is from multi-piston Brembo calipers mounted over dual 320mm drilled discs up front and a single 245mm drilled disc at the rear.

The 1000S DS is distinguished from the standard Multistrada by adjustable Öhlins suspension comprising a 43mm inverted fork in addition to a piggyback monoshock attached to the single-sided swingarm by way of a progressive linkage.

The instrument panel features an 11k-rpm Magneti Marelli tachometer and an LCD screen that includes a clock and readouts for engine temperature, speed, and fuel level. The digital odometer indicates 20k miles.
