1973 Porsche 911S Targa 5-Speed

This 1973 Porsche 911S Targa is powered by a 2.4-liter flat-six equipped with Bosch mechanical fuel injection and linked with a 915 five-speed manual transaxle, and it is finished in Silver Metallic over black leatherette and Pepita houndstooth fabric. Equipment includes a removable roof panel, a stainless-steel Targa bar, H4 headlights, driving lights, 15″ Fuchs alloy wheels, adjustable front seats, rear seats, and a heater.

The car is finished in Silver Metallic (925) and was repainted in 1988 following repairs of the hood and right quarter panel. The windshield was replaced in 2003 and H4 headlights were installed in 2009. The rear bumper was repaired and refinished in 2015. Additional equipment includes a removable roof panel, a stainless-steel Targa bar, driving lights, US-specification bumpers, and a driver-side mirror.

The 15″ Fuchs alloy wheels were mounted with Michelin Energy MXV4 tires in 2007. The car was factory-equipped with ventilated disc brakes at all four corners, and the brake fluid was flushed in 2026. Koni adjustable shocks were also installed in 2007.

The interior features adjustable front seats upholstered in black leatherette with Pepita houndstooth fabric inserts. Air conditioning components have been removed, and a nonworking Becker AM/FM radio is installed in the stock location. A replacement dash and Kenwood speakers were installed in 2003. The carpets were replaced in 2004, and the interior was re-trimmed in 2005. Replacement door panels, pockets, and handles were installed in 2019.

The four-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel frames VDO instrumentation consisting of a 150-mph speedometer, an 8k-rpm tachometer, an analog clock, and gauges for fuel level, oil level, oil temperature, and oil pressure. The speedometer was rebuilt in 2005 and again in 2014. The five-digit odometer shows 86k kilometers (~53k miles), and total mileage is unknown.
