1966 Ford Thunderbird Convertible

Work within the last 12 years is said to have included repainting the body and replacing the car’s 390ci V8 along with brake components and its convertible top. The car is finished in turquoise over turquoise vinyl upholstery, and it has a three-speed automatic transmission, power steering, power front disc brakes, chrome bumpers, an analog clock, and a push-button AM radio.

There were approximately 5,050 convertible Thunderbirds produced for the 1966 model year. Other features include a faux hood scoop, a left mirror, quadruple headlights, and chrome trim on the grille, bumpers, window surrounds, and wheel arches. Some chips and scratches in the paint are noted.

The car is equipped with power steering, and braking is handled by power-assisted front discs and rear drums. The calipers, rotors, and pads are said to have been installed in May 2023. The 15″ steel wheels wear Thunderbird-branded full covers and are mounted with 7.70-15 BFGoodrich Silvertown bias-ply whitewall tires. The right front center cap is missing.

The cabin features front bucket seats and a contoured rear bench trimmed in turquoise vinyl, accompanied by a color-coordinated dashboard, door panels, and carpets. Amenities include a cabin heater, a center console, an analog clock, and a push-button AM radio.

The two-spoke steering wheel frames a horizontal-sweep 120-mph speedometer along with auxiliary gauges indicating oil pressure, fuel level, coolant temperature, and amperage. The five-digit odometer shows 10k miles, approximately 50 of which have been added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.
