S52-Powered 1990 BMW 325is 5-Speed

The car has been retrofitted with a 3.2-liter S52 inline-six from an E36 M3, and it wears a repaint in gray over an interior retrimmed in tan leatherette. Shifting is through a five-speed manual transmission, and highlights include an aftermarket exhaust system, 16″ Alpina-style wheels, strut braces, and upgraded shocks, springs, and sway bars, as well as Euro-style “Smiley” headlights and an M-Technic I steering wheel.

Exterior features include Euro-style “Smiley” headlights, amber high beams, and front and rear spoilers.

The 16″ Alpina-style wheels are mounted with an older set of BFGoodrich tires. The car is equipped with Bilstein shocks, H&R springs, and front and rear strut braces.

The cabin has been retrimmed in tan leatherette, and equipment includes front sport seats, a cassette stereo, and an onboard computer. The check panel is inoperative.

The M-Technic I steering wheel frames a 150-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and auxiliary gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 106k miles, approximately 3k of which were added under current ownership. Mileage inconsistencies are noted in the Carfax report in 2015 and 2018. True mileage is unknown. The inspection light is illuminated.
