About this car

This 1994 Mercedes-Benz E500 Limited is a European-market example that spent time in Japan before being imported to the US in 2019. The car is one of 951 Limited models produced and is finished in Sapphire Black over black leather with patterned gray accents. Power is provided by a 5.0-liter V8 paired with a four-speed automatic transmission; the car features include a sliding steel sunroof, 17″ EVO-II-design alloy wheels, heated power-adjustable front seats, power windows, automatic climate control, and a cassette stereo.

The E500 was designed and built in collaboration with Porsche, and this example is finished in Sapphire Black (009), which was offered exclusively on Limited models. Features include clear turn signal lenses and side marker lamps, a power antenna, and a power-tilting and sliding steel sunroof.

The 17″ EVO-II-design alloy wheels are mounted with Michelin Pilot Sport tires. The E500 featured a wider track and a lower stance compared to other W124 models, while the front disc brakes were shared with the contemporary R129 SL600. The brake fluid was changed in 2026.

The car is trimmed in black leather with gray-patterned inserts on the seats and door panels. Amenities include heated and power-adjustable front sport seats with memory function and perforated bolster inserts, birdseye maple wood trim, cruise control, automatic climate control, dual front airbags, a factory cassette stereo.

The two-tone steering wheel frames VDO instrumentation consisting of a 260-km/h speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, an analog clock, and gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, and oil pressure. The six-digit odometer shows 89k kilometers (~55k miles). A spare instrument cluster showing 424k kilometers (~264k miles) can be seen in the gallery below, and its face was swapped into the currently-installed unit.
