Callaway-Turbocharged 1984 Volkswagen Scirocco 5-Speed

This 1984 Volkswagen Scirocco was modified under prior ownership with a Callaway turbocharger system and a Kamei X1 body kit. Finished in red, the car is equipped with a five-speed manual transaxle, 15″ BBS wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, Koni shocks, Neuspeed strut tower bars, a Neuspeed rear sway bar, power windows and locks, air conditioning, a MOMO steering wheel and shift knob, auxiliary VDO gauges, and an AM/FM/cassette stereo.

The car is finished in red and has been fitted with a Kamei X1 body kit and a hatch-mounted rear spoiler. Additional features include quad headlights, body-color bumpers, dual side mirrors, black trim and B-pillar overlays, and a “turbo” grille badge.

Gold 15″ BBS wheels feature polished lips and are mounted with BFGoodrich Comp T/A tires. The car is equipped with four-wheel disc brakes and four-wheel independent suspension. Handling modifications fitted under prior ownership include Koni shocks, polyurethane bushings, and a Neuspeed rear sway bar. The brake fluid was flushed in August 2026.

The 2+2 cabin features front bucket seats and split-folding rear seats trimmed in gray and black velour cloth, accompanied by color-coordinated door panels and carpeting. Interior appointments include power windows and locks, air conditioning, Scirocco-branded floor mats, a Momo leather-wrapped shift knob, a locking glovebox, and an AM/FM/cassette stereo.

A plaque on the center console identifies this example as Callaway Turbo Scirocco number 002.
