About this car

This cyclekart was built under prior ownership, reputedly by a wooden boat builder, to resemble a 1934 Bugatti Type 59 Sports. It features black-painted fiberglass bodywork over a wood frame and is powered by a 212cc Predator single. Equipment includes steel front and rear axles, a hydraulic rear disc brake, a torque converter and drive chain, a three-spoke steering wheel, 17″ motorcycle wheels, a single seat with tan upholstery, leather hood straps, faux headlights, and a Bugatti decal.

The kart was constructed using guidance from the “Stevenson Formula” for CycleKarts. It features a wood frame and internal body panels beneath fiberglass outer bodywork styled after that of a Bugatti Type 59 Sport. Finished in black with yellow accents, the kart is also equipped with leather hood straps, a faux grille, headlights, a hood mascot, a spare-wheel cover and spinner, an exhaust manifold, and side vents.

The kart is fitted with 17″ wheels sourced from a Honda motorcycle. The wheels are finished in black and wrapped in Michelin Gazelle M62 tires. Steel axles are fitted at the front and rear, and horse-drawn buggy-seat springs serve as the front suspension. Stopping power is provided by a rear-mounted hydraulic disc brake. Rust is visible on the front wheel uprights.

The single seat is fitted with a padded cover upholstered in tan vinyl.

The driver faces a three-spoke steering wheel. Wood panels line the footwell and floor, and the two foot pedals also have wooden covers. An engine cut-off switch is positioned on the right side.
