This 2015 Cadillac Escalade is an ESV Platinum 4WD that was retrofitted when new with Callaway SC560 performance modifications in addition to a custom interior and sound system by Ai Design of Tuckahoe, New York. The studio dubbed its design Project E45, and they estimated a two-year project exceeding 10,000 hours for two vehicles, each built to identical specifications for their client. The cabin is trimmed with Alcantara and custom-tanned Garrett leather, and the 3,600-watt sound system features rooftop solar panels and dual touchscreens linked with a gigabit local-area network, a Naim digital-to-analogue converter, tube pre-amplifiers, TRU Technology amplifiers, and 22 speakers. Power comes from a 6.2-liter V8 with a Callaway GenThree supercharger, and other details include Whelen strobe lighting and sirens, 20″ HRE Performance wheels, a head-up display, adaptive cruise control, a surround-view camera system, and a locking rear differential.
The truck is finished in Black Raven (GBA), and it has LED lighting, power-retractable running boards, rear privacy glass, a power-operated tailgate, and a rooftop solar array.
The vehicle was equipped at the factory with Magneride continuously variable damping and automatic rear leveling. Aftermarket sway bars are noted, and six-piston front and four-piston rear calipers are installed over slotted 15″ rotors for the Callaway brake system. The 20″ HRE Performance wheels are mounted with 285/55 Michelin LTX A/T2 tires.
The 18-way power-adjustable front seats are heated, ventilated, and massaging, and the seven-seat interior has Garrett leather, an Alcantara headliner, wood trim, and CUE infotainment. Radar-detection equipment is reported, and controls for the vehicle’s Whelen strobe-light and siren system are integrated in the center armrest.
The sound system is powered via a master switch between the heated, power-adjustable second-row captain’s chairs. Dual touchscreens are integrated with a gigabit Local Area Network, and a Naim NDS digital-to-analogue converter feeds tube pre-amplifiers, eight TRU Technology amplifiers producing 3,600 watts, and 22 speakers. The vehicle’s custom doors feature vacuum-formed fiberglass, 3D-printed components, and TIG-welded tubular aluminum frames.
