61-Years-Owned 1959 Triumph TR3A

This 1959 Triumph TR3A is said to have been purchased new from C.J. of Berkeley, California. MWS wire wheels were installed in 2013 along with a stainless-steel exhaust system. The Triumph is trimmed in black upholstery with white piping, and other equipment includes a tonneau cover, a Brooklands-style aero screen, wind wings, front disc brakes, 15″ wire wheels, an electric fuel pump, dual SU carburetors, Weiand air cleaners, a banjo-style steering wheel, and lap belts.

Equipment includes a wide grille, a cowl vent, windshield wipers, a Brooklands-style aero screen for the driver, wind wings, rear-fender stone guards, a flip-up fuel cap, a chrome front bumper, rear bumperettes, and a black tonneau cover. Cracks and imperfections in the paint are pictured in the gallery below.

The headlights are protected by mesh stone guards. Side mirrors are secured to each front fender.

The chrome-finished 15″ knock-off Motor Wheel Service wire wheels were replaced in 2013, and they are mounted with 165R15 Dunlop SP20 A/S tires. The car was factory equipped with a coil-spring independent front suspension and a semi-elliptic leaf-spring rear setup. Braking is provided by front discs and rear drums; the calipers and the drums have been repainted in red.

Refurbished in 1978, the cabin features bucket seats trimmed in black upholstery with white piping. Color-coordinated door panels and carpeting are complemented by a dashboard-mounted rearview mirror, a glovebox, a passenger-side grab handle, latch-and-link lap belts, a wood shift knob, and door-panel pockets.
