About this car

The vehicle was created with the hypothetical concept that Dodge retained the 1966 Charger–style four-bucket-seat interior for its second-generation body style and also applied a drag-racing focus exemplified by a 1967 Dodge “Super Stock”–style hood scoop and wide drag slicks. The car is powered by a carbureted 528ci Hemi V8 from Hawaii Racing linked to a Passon Performance aluminum-case four-speed manual transmission with an overdrive top gear. Reilly MotorSports supplied the AlterKtion front suspension with rack-and-pinion power steering as well as the Street-Lynx rear suspension. Custom slotted 15” wheels wear Hoosier Pro Street tires and are fitted over Wilwood four-wheel disc brakes. Finished in metallic blue with white and red stripes over red upholstery, the vehicle has been mini-tubbed and features a full-length center console, Vintage Air climate control, a Hurst shifter, and rearranged gauges with a “tic-toc” tachometer. The Dodge was featured on the cover of the January 2015 issue of Mopar Muscle magazine in an article that can be viewed on hotrod.com, and it received first-place honors in the Conservative Hardtop class at the 2014 Grand National Roadster Show in Pomona, California.

The car was repainted in custom metallic blue by Mick’s Paint of Pomona California, using Sherwin-Williams Planet Color materials during the aforementioned refurbishment. White and red stripes ring the rear end of the vehicle. Other features include hideaway headlamps, round side-marker lights, a driver-side mirror, a flip-up fuel cap, bright trim, rectangular dual exhaust outlets, and chrome bumpers.

The wheel openings have been modified for tire clearance, with the rear wheel wells also being mini-tubbed to accommodate 29×12.50″ Hoosier Pro Street tires, which are complemented by 26×7.50″ Hoosier Pro Street front tires. The slotted 15″ machined wheels were custom-designed and built for this car. Power-assisted Wilwood disc brakes are positioned at all four corners of the vehicle.

A Reilly MotorSports AlterKtion K-member with power-assisted rack-and-pinion steering has been adapted along with a Street-Lynx rear suspension from the same supplier. Adjustable coilovers are fitted at all four corners.

The interior was modeled after that of the 1966 Charger’s, with its full-length center console and four bucket seats. The cabin is trimmed in red vinyl upholstery along with a color-coordinated dashboard, door panels, carpeting, and headliner. Vintage Air climate control is featured along with a white-knob Hurst shifter, seatbelts, a glovebox, door-panel pockets, and courtesy lighting.
