47-Years-Family-Owned 1968 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible L79 327/350 4-Speed

The car was refinished in silver in the 1990s and has spent most of the past decade off the road. The paintwork is complemented by a black soft top, a body-color hardtop, and black vinyl upholstery. The car rides on 15″ wheels with turbine-style covers and also has retractable headlights, four-wheel disc brakes, and a side-exit exhaust system.

Steel 15″ wheels wear turbine-style covers and are mounted with Kumho tires. Braking is handled by power-assisted discs at each corner.

Black vinyl covers the bucket seats, which are fitted with headrests, and replacement black carpets cover the floors. The radio and clock do not work, a repaired tear in the upholstery is shown in the gallery below.

The three-spoke steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 6k-rpm redline, while auxiliary readouts are located in the center stack. The five-digit odometer currently shows 14k miles.
