454-Powered 1986 GMC K2500 4×4

This 1986 GMC K2500 4×4 pickup was refurbished between 2015 and 2020, and it has been re-powered and modified with a 454ci V8, tubular headers, a fabricated exhaust system, a Rough Country suspension lift, 16″ Raceline Rockcrusher wheels, and a RetroSound Bluetooth stereo. The truck has been refinished in two-tone silver and black over black vinyl and gray cloth and is further equipped with a three-speed automatic transmission, a dual-range transfer case, an aftermarket hitch receiver, dual fuel tanks, and power steering.

The truck was refinished in the current shade of two-tone silver and black under previous ownership, and it features a Wideside bed as well as side steps, dual fuel tanks, a sliding rear window, a spray-on bed liner, and a TorkLift SuperHitch Hero dual hitch receiver. The Carfax report lists an accident in January 1998, though no additional information is available. There are paint chips on the front corner of the right front fender.

The 16″ Raceline Rockcrusher wheels are mounted with 315/75 BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A K02 tires. The truck rides on a modified suspension with a Rough Country suspension lift and steering stabilizer, and it is further equipped with power steering and manually locking front hubs. Braking is provided by front discs and rear drums. The emergency brake cable guide was welded in place, and the right-front hub was repaired in July 2024.

The refurbished cab features a bench that has been reupholstered in black vinyl with gray cloth inserts. Additional appointments include a color-coordinated dashboard, door panels, and replacement carpeting along with a RetroSound Bluetooth stereo and a heater.

A two-spoke tilting steering wheel frames an 85-mph speedometer and gauges for fuel level, voltage, oil pressure, and coolant temperature. The five-digit odometer shows 56k miles, approximately 150 of which were added under current ownership. An October 1995 entry in the Carfax report lists an odometer reading of 74k miles, and the total mileage is unknown.
