About this car

This 1979 Chevrolet Corvette is powered by a 350ci L82 V8 that was rebuilt and modified under original ownership to displace 383ci, and it features a Crane Cams camshaft, aftermarket lifters, TRW forged pistons, ported and polished cylinder heads, bronzed valve guides, and an Edelbrock Performer intake manifold. The car was placed in storage for the last eight years of the first owner’s stewardship before it was purchased in 1995 by its second owner, who commissioned a repaint in red, a refresh of the interior with black leather, and the installation of a Flowmaster stainless-steel exhaust system.

The car was repainted in its current shade of red in 2014, and exterior details include removable glass T-top roof panels, 383 badging, pop-up headlights, fog lights, fender air vents, sport mirrors, window tint, and quad exhaust outlets. The bumpers were replaced under previous ownership.

The 15″ eight-slot alloy wheels are mounted with 245/60 Cooper Cobra Radial G/T tires that were installed in April 2025, and an alignment was performed then. The shocks were replaced under prior ownership, and the box, control valve, and lines for the power-steering system were replaced under current ownership, at which time the brake rotors, wheel bearings, front sway bar links, and rear struts and trailing arms were replaced.

The cabin was redone in 1997, and the work included reupholstering the bucket seats in black leather along with replacing the dashboard, door panels, and carpets. Other interior details include a Blaupunkt Atlanta CD85 AM/FM/CD stereo, a fire extinguisher, aftermarket speakers, dual air horns, R134a-based air conditioning, and power windows. The clock and cruise control do not work, and some carpeting is faded.

The three-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel is mounted on a tilting column and frames a 140-mph speedometer and a tachometer. Gauges for coolant temperature, oil temperature, oil pressure, voltage, and fuel level are located in the center stack. The five-digit odometer shows 46k miles, and it has rolled over. Approximately 4,500 of which were added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.
