This 1965 Ford Mustang fastback is a non-running project car that was purchased by the seller in 1988 and used as a daily driver for three years. It was later used as a weekend car for 15 years before being parked and partially refurbished in 2006.
Exterior modifications include a fiberglass GT350-style hood, front apron, quarter windows, and fender flares. The car has been garaged since 1988 in dry climates, but some corrosion is noted and the windshield has a small rock chip.
The car features Centerline Convo Pro wheels with Phantom A/P tires up front and BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires at the rear. Power-assisted front disc brakes are fitted, and the rear drum brakes were converted to discs in 2005.
The partially assembled cabin features black-painted metal surfaces, a white headliner, and beige Pony-style door panels. Included interior parts consist of fiberglass trim pieces, a folding rear seat, an under-dash air-conditioning unit, a compressor, and a condenser, as well as seats from a 1971 Mustang.
No, the car is a non-running project.
A 302ci V8 based on a 1971 block, installed in 1987.
A four-speed AOD automatic transmission.
