1959 Fiat · Canada · Lender-owned, lien released
This 1959 Fiat 600 was purchased by the seller in 1988 and modified to resemble a 1963 Fiat-Abarth 850 TC 'Nürburgring' replica. The bodywork was flared and finished in light green, with a front-mounted radiator and open decklid cover added. A rebuilt 100-series inline-four engine displaces 1,050cc and is paired with a four-speed manual transaxle and rear differential with 3.90:1 gearing.
The vehicle rides on 13" Campagnolo-style wheels with Continental ContiSportContact tires and features Koni shocks, four-wheel disc brakes, fixed-back bucket seats, and a MOMO Prototipo steering wheel. The body was mounted to a rotisserie and rust repairs were made with sheet metal, with the chassis seam-welded and front fenders, nose panel, and rocker panels replaced.
The vehicle has been outfitted with Abarth-style badging, a front-mounted radiator shroud, and an open decklid cover that doubles as a rear spoiler. The bumpers, headlights, and taillights were also replaced. The cabin features sound deadening material and fixed-back Corbeau bucket seats trimmed in black upholstery with microsuede inserts.
The engine displaces 1,050cc.
Four-speed manual transaxle.
Four-wheel disc brakes with 850-spec rotors and 850-sourced front calipers and 124-specification rear calipers.
The vehicle, a workshop manual, a spare 903cc engine block, and British Columbia registration.
