36k-Mile 1997 Porsche 911 Carrera Targa

This black-on-black 1997 Porsche 911 Carrera Targa shows 36k miles and is powered by a 3.6-liter flat-six paired with a four-speed Tiptronic transaxle. Equipment includes 17″ two-piece Targa wheels, a power-operated glass roof panel, power-adjustable front seats, a Kenwood stereo with Bluetooth, cruise control, and air conditioning.

The 993 Targa was based on the convertible bodyshell and featured a revised roof with a lifting and sliding glass center section as opposed to the removable top found on earlier 911 Targa models. This example is finished in black and features headlight washers, fog lights, power-adjustable mirrors, a speed-activated rear spoiler, a “basket handle” fixed rear spoiler with an integrated third brake light, and dual exhaust outlets. The front bumper cover has been refinished, and close-up photographs of the exterior finish and trim are shown in the gallery below.

Targa-specific two-piece 17″ Speedline wheels are mounted with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires. Braking is handled by Porsche-branded calipers over cross-drilled rotors at all four corners. The brake fluid was changed in 2023.

The power-adjustable front seats are upholstered in black leather and complemented by a color-coordinated center console, door panels, and carpeting. Amenities include cruise control, air conditioning, and a Kenwood stereo with Bluetooth connectivity. The Targa panel sunshade has been removed.

The leather-wrapped steering wheel features Tiptronic S shift buttons and frames VDO instrumentation including a central tachometer with a 6,800-rpm redline, a 180-mph speedometer, an analog clock, and gauges for oil pressure, oil temperature, oil level, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 36k miles, approximately 500 of which were added under current ownership.
