34-Years-Owned 1991 BMW 318is Coupe 5-Speed

The car is powered by a 1.8-liter M42B18 DOHC inline-four linked to a five-speed manual transmission and is finished in Diamond Black Metallic over black leatherette. Equipment includes 15″ Style 10 alloy wheels, four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes, quad headlights, fog lights, a manually operated sunroof, a rear spoiler, front sport seats, a cassette stereo, a six-disc CD changer, power windows, and an onboard computer.

The two-door bodywork is finished in Diamond Black Metallic (181) and is equipped with a manually operated sunroof, fog lights, a rear spoiler, and quad headlights. The front valance is warped, and close-up photographs of the exterior finish and trim are shown in the gallery below.

The 15″ Style 10 alloy wheels were fitted in 1994 and are wearing Bridgestone Potenza tires. Stopping is accomplished via ventilated front and solid rear anti-lock disc brakes.

The cabin features front sport seats and a rear bench upholstered in black leatherette, along with color-coordinated door panels and carpets. Amenities include a cassette stereo, power windows, an onboard computer, and a trunk-mounted six-disc CD changer. The R12-based air conditioning system does not currently blow cold, and the blower operates only on its highest fan speed setting.

The steering wheel frames a 150-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and auxiliary gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 67k miles, approximately 46k of which were added under current ownership. The odometer gears were replaced in 2026, and total mileage is unknown.
