This 2013 Subaru BRZ left the factory as a Premium example and was built into a race car for use in SCCA and NASA competition as part of a project completed by Phoenix Performance of Phoenixville, Pennsylvania. Finished in Dark Gray Metallic, the car wears a front splitter and rear diffuser along with a Verus Engineering rear wing. It rides on 17″ Enkei Kojin wheels and is fitted with Koni shocks, Ground Control coilovers, and AP Racing front disc brakes. Inside, the stripped cockpit is outfitted with a single OMP racing seat paired with a Sparco harness accompanied by a Phoenix Performance–fabricated roll cage and a Sparco steering wheel. The engine is equipped with a Perrin air intake, Agency Power exhaust headers, and a Corsa Performance dual-tip cat-back exhaust system, while shifting is through a six-speed manual transmission linked with a Torsen limited-slip differential.
Finished from the factory in Dark Gray Metallic (61K), the car has been fitted with a front splitter and rear diffuser as well as a Verus Engineering rear wing. Carbon-fiber ducts have been fitted in place of the fog lamps, the front marker lamps have been removed, and the hood is secured by AeroCatch-style hood latches. Xenon headlights, LED taillights, and blue mirror caps are further details.
The 17″ Enkei Kojin wheels are mounted with 235/40 Toyo Proxes tires. The car rides on Koni dampers fitted with Ground Control adjustable coilovers and features Verus Engineering rear lower control arms as well as adjustable rear toe links. Stopping power is provided by AP Racing four-piston front calipers over two-piece J-hook discs paired with the retained factory setup out back.
The stripped cabin is protected by a roll cage with door bars fabricated by Phoenix Performance using 1.75″ diameter and .095″ wall DOM tubing and has been finished in Subaru World Rally Blue. The driver is provided with an OMP HTE-R bucket seat installed atop a sliding seat rail and paired with a Sparco five-point harness. An electrical cutoff switch is located to the driver’s left, while a custom switch panel is installed in place of the removed factory head unit. The included RaceQuip window net expired in 2024 and the seat expired in 2025.
The Sparco steering wheel is mounted to an NRG quick-release hub and paired with a short shifter topped by a Cusco knob. The instrument cluster features a central 9k-rpm tachometer flanked by a 160-mph speedometer and auxiliary gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature. The digital odometer indicates 9k miles, approximately 300 of which were added under current ownership.
