2006 BMW M5

This 2006 BMW M5 is a US-market example that was initially delivered to BMW of Downtown Los Angeles and remained in California until the current owners’ acquisition in 2024. It was subsequently exported to Europe and is equipped with a replacement 5.0-liter V10 installed under BMW warranty in November 2010. Subsequent service under previous ownership included replacement of the thermostat and alternator in February 2022, the drive-belt tensioner and idler pulleys in March 2022, the fuel pump in September 2022, and the spark plugs and ignition coils in June 2024. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a seven-speed SMG single-clutch sequential transmission and an M Variable differential. Finished in Sepang Bronze Metallic over Black Merino full leather, it is equipped with a glass sunroof, adaptive bi-xenon headlights, a decklid spoiler, rear window tint, Park Distance Control parking sensors, 19″ Style 166 wheels, heated and ventilated power-adjustable multi-contour front seats, front-seat position memory settings, an Alcantara headliner, a Logic7 sound system, iDrive with navigation, a six-disc CD changer, and dual-zone automatic climate control.

The M5 features flared fenders and rocker panels as well as revised bumper covers, front fender vents, and quad exhaust outlets when compared to the standard E60. This example is finished in Sepang Bronze Metallic (A32) and is equipped with a glass sunroof, a decklid spoiler, adaptive bi-xenon headlamps with washers, rear window tint, and Park Distance Control parking sensors. The Carfax lists an accident in July 2015 and damage reported in August 2023, the results of which included refinishing the passenger-side quarter panel, rear door, and trunk lid as well as a replacement rear bumper cover.

Silver-finished 19″ Style 166 wheels are mounted with Continental tires. The car is equipped with Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) with M Dynamic Mode, and braking is handled by four-wheel cross-drilled and ventilated discs. The steering rack was replaced under BMW warranty in November 2010, followed by replacement of the front thrust-arm bushings and rear tires in February 2022 and the front tires in September 2022.

The leather-wrapped multifunction steering wheel features tri-color stitching and frames a 200-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a variable redline, and gauges for oil temperature and fuel level. The digital odometer indicates 173k kilometers (~107k miles), approximately 2k kilometers of which were added under current ownership.

The car is equipped with a replacement 5.0-liter V10 installed under BMW warranty in November 2010 at approximately 37k miles (~60k kilometers).
