Work involved adjusting the valves, rebuilding the Pega ST4 Kevlar clutch, servicing the hydraulic power unit, and replacing the water pump, thermostat, battery, oxygen sensors, spark plugs, ignition coils, F1 accumulator, rear axle shafts, and more as outlined below. Power comes from a 6.2-liter V12 that drives all four wheels through an E-gear six-speed automated transmission, and the car rides on adjustable coilovers as well as 18″ Hercules alloy wheels. The car is finished in Azzurro Aquarius and is further equipped with a front-axle lift system, automatically deploying rear intakes, xenon headlights, and a Fabspeed exhaust system. Inside, the seats were retrimmed in Rosso Centaurus Nappa full-grain leather and are complemented by automatic climate control, a digital rearview mirror display, and a custom audio system.
The Murciélago was designed by Luc Donckerwolke and was publicly unveiled in 2001 at the Frankfurt Motor Show as the replacement for the Diablo. This example is finished in Azzurro Aquarius and features a speed-activated rear spoiler, a pantograph windshield wiper, xenon headlights, scissor doors, rear fog lights, tinted side marker lights and taillights, quad exhaust outlets, and automatically deploying rear intakes to aid in cooling.
The 18″ Hercules alloy wheels are wrapped in Pirelli P Zero tires up front and Nitto NT555 tires out back. Stopping power is provided by red-finished calipers fitted over cross-drilled rotors at each corner. The steering rack and rear brake pads and rotors were replaced in February 2021.
The interior was refreshed in 2022 using Hydes Leather upholstery featuring Rosso Centaurus Nappa full-grain leather with black accents, and replacement carpets were installed at that time. Amenities include automatic climate control, inboard shoulder harnesses, a digital rearview mirror display, and an Audison head unit linked to a custom audio system incorporating JL Audio component speakers, a Mosconi amplifier, an Audison Bit One digital audio processor, and a fabricated subwoofer enclosure. The brake switch and air conditioning compressor and expansion valve were replaced in February 2021.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel features a red centering stripe and paddle shifters, and it frames a 220-mph speedometer and a 9k-rpm tachometer as well as auxiliary gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and oil temperature. The digital odometer indicates 46k miles, approximately 11k of which have been added under current ownership.
