2004 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 Commemorative Edition

This 2004 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 is one of 2,025 Commemorative Edition models produced to celebrate the C5-R’s class victories at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Track-oriented modifications include a square 18″ wheel setup, uprated sway bars, a differential brace, a rear spoiler, a short shifter, and tow hooks. Equipment includes a six-speed manual transmission, a limited-slip differential, a carbon-fiber hood and racing stripes as well as the Memory Package, pop-up headlights, dual-zone automatic climate control, cruise control, a head-up display, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, a Bose sound system, and a Pioneer CD stereo.

The C5 Z06 was only offered as a fixed-roof coupe for increased chassis stiffness and featured a quad-exit titanium exhaust system, mesh grille inserts, and weight-saving measures such as thinner glass and reduced sound deadening when compared to the standard C5. All 2004 Commemorative Edition Z06 models were finished in Le Mans Blue (19U) with silver and red decal stripes adorning the roof, decklid, and carbon-fiber hood. A rear spoiler and front and rear tow hooks were added, and additional features include commemorative Le Mans badging, pop-up headlights, and rear brake vents. Paint chips are noted. The Carfax report lists damage reports in 2022 and 2023.

Black-finished 18″ aluminum five-spoke 18″ wheels with machined lips and 275/35 Federal 595RS-Pro tires comprise a square setup. Modifications include track-spec front and rear sway bars, an aftermarket differential brace, and an HP2 power steering pump, and the car is further equipped with Active Handling and traction control systems, speed-sensitive rack-and-pinion power steering, and ventilated disc brakes at all four corners. Curb rash is noted on the wheels.

The two seats are upholstered in Torch Red and black leather. An MGW short-shifter has been added, and amenities include a six-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, a head-up display, dual-zone automatic climate control, an onboard computer, cruise control, electrochromic mirrors, and a Bose sound system with a Pioneer stereo.

The leather-wrapped steering wheel fronts a 200-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 6,500-rpm redline along with gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, voltage, and fuel level. The digital odometer indicates 68k miles, approximately 30k of which were added under current ownership.
