2003 Cannondale · United States · Lender-owned, lien released
2003 Cannondale E440 offered at online auction by Repo Vehicle Holdings. Bank-sourced car with a clear title, VIN history report, no buyer fees and a 30-day return window. Open bidding with the full bid history visible.
The bike features an aluminum frame and is powered by a liquid-cooled 432cc DOHC single paired with a five-speed transmission. Equipment includes white bodywork with gray and yellow accents, an Öhlins inverted fork and piggyback monoshock, Nissin disc brakes, wire-spoke wheels, a Magura hydraulic clutch, and street lighting. An engine rebuild and fueling system overhaul were carried out in 2014, and the bike has reportedly remained in garage storage under current ownership.
The Cannondale motorcycle line was built by the American bicycle manufacturer during its brief entry into the motorsports market in the early 2000s. The models were distinguished by their aluminum perimeter frames and “backwards” cylinder head design with the exhaust exiting from the rear of the combustion chamber.
The bodywork is finished in white with gray and yellow accents over an aluminum twin-spar frame and a polished aluminum swingarm featuring “MADE IN USA” decals. Details include a gray and yellow seat, a side stand, high-mounted fenders, handguards, and street equipment including a headlight, turn signals, and a rear license plate bracket with an Edge LED taillight. The engine side covers and footpegs were powder-coated matte black in 2014.
Wire-spoke wheels with alloy rims measure 21″ up front and 18″ out back and are mounted with Kenda K760 Trakmaster II tires measuring 80/100 and 110/100, respectively. Adjustable Öhlins suspension consists of an inverted fork and a piggyback monoshock mounted to the swingarm. Stopping power is provided by cross-drilled disc brakes with Nissin calipers. The fork and shock were serviced with fresh fluids and replacement seals and bottom-out bumpers in 2014.
