1968 Triumph · United States · Lender-owned, lien released
This 1968 Triumph TR250 was built in September 1967 and was delivered to a distributor in New York. The frame was repaired in 2022, and the vehicle has been repainted in Royal Blue over black vinyl upholstery with contrasting piping. Equipment includes a tan convertible top, a top boot, a luggage rack, 15″ wire wheels, red-line tires, front disc brakes, LED lighting, a wooden shift knob, a RetroSound stereo, and interior power outlets, as well as dual Zenith-Stromberg carburetors, a polished-aluminum valve cover, and a Revotec auxiliary electric cooling fan. Approximately 26k miles have been added under current ownership.
The tan Robbins canvas convertible top has been replaced. Exterior details include a black top boot, a silver-colored front stripe, LED headlamp bulbs, TR250 badging, a cowl vent, bullet-style door-mounted side mirrors, a flip-up fuel cap, a rear luggage rack, reverse lights, dual exhaust outlets, and chrome bumpers with overriders. The previous owner stated that the Triumph had been involved in an accident that damaged one of its front fenders. The passenger-side door is proud at its trailing edge, only the driver-side windshield wiper operates, and chipped paint and other imperfections are pictured in the gallery below.
Chrome-finished 15″ 60-spoke replacement wire wheels are mounted with 205/70 Uniroyal Tiger Paw red-line tires that were purchased in 2025. Components replaced during the 2007 refurbishment include the steering rack and mounts; the front shocks, springs, and upper bushings; the rear springs and shocks; and the rear brake shoes and wheel cylinders.
The cabin features low-back bucket seats upholstered in black vinyl with light-colored piping as well as a color-coordinated dash surround, door panels, and carpeting. Interior appointments include a wood dashboard fascia, a wood shift knob, lockable glovebox storage, seatbelts, a heater, and black rubber floor mats. A RetroSound radio and a chrome antenna have been added, as have USB and 12-volt power outlets. The trunk compartment was repainted in 2007.
The worn three-spoke steering wheel frames Smiths instrumentation including a 140-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 5,500-rpm redline, while gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, fuel level, and amperage are located at the center of the dash. The five-digit odometer shows 85k miles, approximately 26k of which were added under current ownership. LED dashboard lighting has been adapted.
