About this rvs & camper

This 1965 Ford F-250 is equipped with a Space Age slide-in camper and is said to have been used for five Michigan camping summers by the original owners, who were members of the “Green Thumb-ers” camping club. Finished in Rangoon Red and Wimbledon White over black vinyl, the truck is powered by a 352ci V8 paired with a four-speed manual transmission. The Space Age slide-in camper retains its original finish and interior, and it has a full-size rear entry door with jalousie windows as well as an over-cab sleeping platform, a three-burner stove, a refrigerator, and a sink. Work under current ownership included installing a dual-bowl master brake cylinder and a brake proportioning valve as well as replacing the spark plugs, ignition wires, distributor cap, drive belts, fuel tank, fuel pump, fuel lines, radiator, and rear axle seal.

The Styleside bodywork is finished in two-tone Rangoon Red and Wimbledon White, and equipment includes Camper Special badging, a rear step bumper, towing mirrors, and an under-bed storage compartment.

Founded in 1965, Space Age Camper Co. was an RV manufacturer that was founded in Goshen, Indiana, by Richard Ferguson and his father. This unit retains its original upholstery, draperies, drawers, and cabinets. It is equipped with a three-burner Magic Chef oven, a sink, a refrigerator, and an over-cab sleeping surface.

White-painted steel wheels wear chrome hubcaps and were mounted with Falken tires in 2020. Stopping power is provided by power-assisted drums at each corner. Under current ownership, a dual-bowl master brake cylinder and a brake proportioning valve were added and the brake shoes, hardware, and hoses were replaced.

The cabin features a black vinyl bench seat, red-and-white door panels, lap belts, aluminum scuff plates, a heater, and a CB radio.
