About this car

This 1990 Porsche 911 Carrera coupe was modified by Singer Vehicle Design in 2019 and features carbon-fiber body panels finished in Rome Red with ghosted Porsche script. Highlights of the “Golden” commission include Cognac Tan and black leather upholstery, an Ed Pink-built 4.0-liter flat-six, and a six-speed manual transaxle with a limited-slip differential and European-spec gear ratios. The car rides on Öhlins dampers in addition to forged 17″ Fuchs-style wheels over a 993-derived Brembo brake system. The body features front and rear spoilers along with bi-xenon headlights, while the cabin houses a MOMO steering wheel, power-height-adjustable Recaro bucket seats, air conditioning, and a Porsche Classic head unit with navigation.

Los Angeles-based Singer Vehicle Design was founded in 2009 by former Catherine Wheel frontman Rob Dickinson and has since specialized in performance-based customizations of 964-series 911s. Each car is stripped to its steel unibody, which receives welding reinforcements before being fitted with carbon-fiber panels, including the fenders, bumpers, front hood, and rear decklid. Non-sunroof coupes, such as this example, are also fitted with a carbon-fiber roof panel. The front spoiler, lower rear valance, and lower rocker panels are composed of black urethane.

This example is finished in Rome Red Light Pearl with ghosted Porsche script on the decklid and sides. External fuel and oil filler caps, a nickel-plated 911 decklid badge, and body-color rear bumperettes were optioned, while additional Singer touches include a retractable rear spoiler, bullet-style side mirrors that anchor through the vent windows, and Hella bi-xenon headlights with polycarbonate lenses. Paint protection film was applied to the body in July 2024.

The car was involved in a rear-end collision in June 2022, and subsequent repairs performed by Singer included replacing the rear bumper, roof panel, quarter panels, taillights, and decklid. A Carfax report for the incorrect VIN listed on the Singer build sheet (WP0AB2962LS457571) notes a salvage title was issued following accident damage to the rear at that time, and the owner states the salvage issuance was errantly reported with the incorrect VIN, rather than the correct sequence for this vehicle. Photos of damage and images taken during the subsequent repair are provided in the gallery, along with a photo of the redacted Montana title.

Fuchs-style 17″ forged wheels are secured with open-ended lug nuts and wrapped in 225/45 front and 265/40 rear Michelin Pilot Sport tires. The car utilizes Öhlins two-way adjustable dampers and a 993-sourced steering rack-and-pinion. The Brembo brake system was derived from the Porsche 993 Turbo and incorporates cross-drilled rotors acted upon by red calipers with white Porsche lettering.
