About this car

This 1987 Alfa Romeo Milano Gold is believed to be one of two Milano sedans fitted with a twin-turbo kit from Callaway Engineering of Old Lyme, Connecticut. The car rides on 17″ HRE forged multi-piece wheels paired with Koni shocks at all four corners and has power steering along with Brembo front disc brakes. Inside, Corbeau bucket seats are accompanied by a Zender steering wheel and a Blaupunkt head unit as well as air conditioning and a power sunroof. The 2.5-liter Busso V6 is fitted with twin IHI turbochargers, dual air-to-air top-mount intercoolers, and a custom-fabricated exhaust system, while shifting is through a five-speed manual transaxle.

Styled under the supervision of chief Centro Stile Alfa Romeo stylist Ermanno Cressoni, the Milano was marketed outside the US as the Alfa 75 and built from 1985 through 1992. This example was fitted with a fiberglass body kit styled after the 500-unit Turbo Evoluzione homologation special from 1987 and repainted in metallic blue under current ownership.

A Euro-style grille is fitted up front, and the hood wears a custom scoop. Further details include body-color side trim as well as a power sunroof and side mirrors. Various paint imperfections are shown up close in the gallery along with a crack in the right taillight. The Carfax report lists an October 2005 noting fire damage, though no other information is provided.

The 17″ HRE forged multi-piece wheels feature gray centers and are mounted with 215/40 Falken Azenis rubber. Braking is handled by aluminum two-piston Brembo calipers over vented, slotted, and cross-drilled rotors up front, while inboard-mounted ATE units clamp down on solid discs out back. The power steering and brakes were overhauled as part of the work completed in 2016 and 2017.

The Corbeau front bucket seats are trimmed in black leather and microsuede, which extends to the rear bench. The headliner is said to be trimmed in Alcantara, and the cabin is lined with Dynamat sound deadening. The dashboard and steering column were replaced circa 2017, while work in 2022 involved overhauling the air conditioning system as well as performing wiring repairs. Further interior details include a Blaupunkt Colombo 130 BT head unit, a digital clock, and a heater as well as power windows, mirrors, and door locks.
