1983 Porsche 911SC Cabriolet

This 1983 Porsche 911SC cabriolet was sold new at Reaves Import Motorcars in Tampa, Florida, and has since spent time in New York and New Jersey. Powered by a 3.0-liter flat-six paired with a five-speed manual transaxle, the car is finished in Guards Red over black leather. Equipment includes 16″ Fuchs alloy wheels, a front spoiler, power windows, and an aftermarket stereo. Recent work has included replacing the black soft top, fuel filter, fuel accumulator, oil cooler hose, and engine mounts.

The car is finished in Guards Red and features a replacement black soft top that was installed in 2024, along with a front spoiler. The front trunk and rear decklid have been refinished, and there are paint chips and blemishes on the forward-facing surfaces. The 16″ Fuchs wheels with black centers are mounted with Dunlop tires that have 2013 date codes. Stopping power is provided by power-assisted four-wheel disc brakes with ventilated rotors. The tie rods, parking brake cable, and sway bar brackets were replaced in 2022, rebuilt brake calipers were installed in 2023, and work in 2025 included replacing the rear axles, rear wheel bearings, and tie rod ends and fitting a rear sway bar and a steering protection plate.

The cabin features bucket seats upholstered in black leather along with a color-coordinated dashboard, door panels, and carpets. Amenities include a center console, power windows, and an aftermarket CD stereo. The heater system and air conditioning compressor have been removed, the dashboard is cracked, and seam separation is noted on the driver’s seat.

The leather-wrapped three-spoke steering wheel frames a central tachometer with a 6,300-rpm redline as well as a replacement 150-mph speedometer, a clock, and gauges for oil level, oil temperature, oil pressure, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 148k miles, and the Carfax report lists a mileage inconsistency in August 2008 and February 2010.
