It was specified with a Glenbrook floor plan, and the cabin houses a convertible sofa, a rear seating area, swiveling front captain’s chairs, a bathroom with a shower, and a galley with a refrigerator, a microwave, and a two-burner cooktop. Power is provided by an overbored 461ci V8 paired with a three-speed automatic transaxle, and the vehicle rides on 16″ Alcoa wheels and quad rear airbags. The white-finished exterior is accented with blue stripes and features awnings, dual roof-mounted air conditioning units, Ramco power mirrors, and receiver hitches. An electric water heater, a furnace, and a converter/charger are additional equipment.
Initially offered in two lengths, the GMC Motorhome was produced from 1973 through 1978 with a low, front-wheel-drive chassis. This 26′ example’s fiberglass and aluminum bodywork left the factory finished in Aspen Gold, and it was repainted white in the 1990s. The vehicle has been modified with a Ragusa side step, Ramco power mirrors, front and rear window covers, Chevrolet Lumina-sourced windshield wiper arms, slide-open kitchen and entry door windows, roof-mounted air horns, and LED roof clearance lights. Blue awnings are fitted at both sides, and a ladder, a spare wheel cover, and dual receiver hitches are located out back.
The living area offers a convertible sofa with brown patterned fabric and a storage drawer that contains an air mattress. Further details include wood cabinetry, a ventilation fan, power outlets, white plank-style flooring, and LED lighting. The dinette has been removed, the Blaupunkt CD player and JBL speakers are disconnected, unfinished floor edging is noted, and the day/night blinds are aged.
A two-burner cooktop with a cover is installed in the galley along with a range hood, a Norcold refrigerator, a microwave, a sink, and a storage rack.
Two seating areas with flip-up bases and replacement cushions are housed in the rear cabin, and storage compartments and reading lights are mounted overhead. A closet with a shelving unit is located in the hallway along with a lavatory, which has a toilet, a towel hanger, LED vanity lights, and a shower with a ventilation fan, a duckboard platform, and a curtain.
