This 1973 Ford F-100 Ranger was delivered to the Seattle district and is said to have been initially purchased in Oregon and remained in the state until 2000. Subsequent work included installing Pertronix electronic ignition, as well as replacing the fuel tanks and lines, the spark plugs and wires, the driveshaft, carrier bearing, shock absorbers, wheel bearings, power steering hoses, tires, brake components, and HVAC components. It is finished in Durango Tan & Medium Ginger Metallic over Medium Ginger vinyl and cloth and powered by a replacement 360ci V8 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission. Features include 15″ steel wheels, front disc brakes, power steering, an auxiliary fuel tank, a rear step bumper, a receiver hitch, and air conditioning.
The truck is a long-bed example left the factory finished in Durango Tan and Medium Ginger Metallic. Features include a chrome front bumper, western side mirrors, a rear step bumper, a receiver hitch, and vent windows. Additional exterior imperfections are shown in the gallery and noted in the videos.
The 15″ steel wheels are mounted with Goodyear Wrangler Trailrunner A/T tires, which were installed under current ownership. Braking is handled by power-assisted front discs and rear drums. The truck is equipped with power steering. The braking system was overhauled under current ownership, and the shocks, wheel bearings, and power steering hoses were replaced.
The bench seat is trimmed in Medium Ginger vinyl and cloth and is protected by a color-coordinating cloth cover. The heater core and blower motor were replaced, and the air conditioning system was converted to utilize R134-a refrigerant. There are tears in the seat upholstery.
The steering wheel frames a 100-mph speedometer as well as gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 77k miles, approximately 2k of which were added under current ownership.
