1972 BMW R75/5 Auction

This 1972 BMW R75/5 was refurbished and modified in 2013 by Boxerworks of Watkinsville, Georgia. The work included painting the bodywork and powder-coating the wheels and frame.

Modifications made to the bike include a later-model BMW front end, dual front disc brakes, snowflake-style alloy wheels, and Albert headlight mirrors, as well as an upgraded charging system, solid-state regulator/rectifier, and later-model BMW hand controls.

The bike features a 745cc opposed twin engine paired with a four-speed transmission, and additional details include an enclosed driveshaft, both kick and electric starters, a stainless-steel dual exhaust system, twin Bing carburetors, a Brown side stand, a chrome parcel rack, and a solo seat.

The current owner purchased the bike in September 2024 and had Motogrotto of Easton, Pennsylvania perform maintenance work, including changing the fluids, rebuilding the front brake calipers, and replacing the air filter, fuel hoses, and fork seals.
