About this car

This 1969 Mercedes-Benz 280SL was refinished in Gray Beige under previous ownership, and it received new Parchment leather upholstery along with air conditioning repairs, a re-cored radiator, and a replacement exhaust system, fan clutch, fuel pump, water pump, rear brakes, and tires. Powered by a 2.8-liter inline-six paired with a four-speed automatic transmission, the car is equipped with a tan convertible top, a removable hardtop, 14″ steel wheels with painted covers, and a Bluetooth-enabled Becker Europa radio.

The car was refinished in Gray Beige as part of refurbishment work under prior ownership that was completed by Tony Labella Classic Cars of Cherry Hill, New Jersey. A tan soft top is fitted, and a body-color removable hardtop is included in the sale. Corrosion is noted on the inner lip of the rear decklid. Paint meter readings are presented in the gallery below.

Steel 14″ wheels feature covers with painted centers and wear 185/70 Uniroyal Tiger Paw tires mounted in 2022. The rear brakes, master cylinder, and reservoir were also replaced at that time.

The cabin was refreshed under prior ownership, and the color of the upholstery was changed to Parchment. The air conditioning system was repaired in 2022, and a Bluetooth-enabled Becker Europa radio was installed in 2023. The color of one of the visor clips does not match.

The two-spoke steering wheel features a chrome horn ring and frames a 140-mph speedometer and a tachometer, both of which were repaired in 2024. The speedometer was repaired again in 2025 along with the clock. The five-digit odometer currently shows 58k miles, approximately 20 of which were added since 2025.
