1968 Plymouth Barracuda Formula S Coupe 383

This 1968 Plymouth Barracuda Formula S is one of 252 examples manufactured with a 383ci V8 in the coupe body style for the model year, of which 99 came with a three-speed automatic transmission like this car. It was refurbished circa 2010 and is finished in Avocado Green with a green vinyl top over green vinyl upholstery. Equipment includes 14″ steel wheels, wire-style wheel covers, Firestone whitewall tires, drum brakes, a center console, and an AM radio.

Finished from the factory in Avocado Green (TT1) with a green vinyl top (Y4), the car was repainted and the top redone during the aforementioned refurbishment. Black stripes span the body at wheel-well height, and other exterior equipment includes Formula S fender badges, twin inset grilles, round side-marker lights, a driver-side mirror, black door-handle buttons, a flip-up fuel cap, bright trim, chrome bumpers, and dual exhaust outlets.

Steel 14×5.5″ wheels wear Plymouth Division wire-style covers and are mounted with E70–14 Firestone Wide Oval whitewall tires. Braking is provided by drums at each corner.

The cabin features front bucket seats and a rear bench trimmed in green vinyl. Equipment includes a center console, a Solid State by Plymouth AM radio, a locking glovebox, a heater, lap belts, green carpeting, and bright doorsill plates. The dash top is cracked, and the headliner exhibits wear under the sun visors.
