About this car

This 1964 BMW R69S was refurbished from 2013 to 2014 with a repaint in black along with overhauls of its 594cc opposed-twin, four-speed transmission, and final drive. Features include 18″ chrome rims, a driveshaft, a black Denfeld saddle, a chrome cross-braced handlebar, bar-end turn signals, headlight-mounted mirrors, an Earles fork, a locking storage compartment, a center stand, and dual Bing carburetors.

The bike was refinished in black with white pinstripes during the refurbishment and features a black Denfeld solo saddle as well as bar-end turn signals, headlight-mounted mirrors, a locking storage compartment, black rubber knee grips, a frame-mounted air pump, a cargo rack, and a center stand.

Wire-spoke wheels with 18″ chrome-steel rims wear Metzler ME33 Lasertec tires. Suspension is provided by an Earles fork as well as preload-adjustable shocks mounted to the swingarm on the left and the final-drive housing on the right. Braking is handled by front and rear drums.

The chrome cross-braced handlebar fronts a 120-mph speedometer and a pair of indicator lights. The five-digit odometer shows 884 miles, a handful of which were ridden under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.

The 594cc opposed-twin features dual Bing carburetors and was factory rated at 42 horsepower. The engine, along with the transmission and final drive, were disassembled and overhauled during the refurbishment.
