About this car

It underwent a restoration from 2020 to 2022 and was awarded NCRS Top Flight in 2024 with a score of 97.5%. The car is powered by a 327ci V8 paired with a four-speed manual transmission and is refinished in white over red. Features include 15″ steel wheels with three-eared knock-off spinner-style hubcaps, a Positraction differential, power-assisted brakes, an AM radio, and concealed headlights.

The fiberglass body was finished at the factory in Ermine White (936) and then refinished during the aforementioned restoration. Features include flip-up headlamps, fender vents, quad tail lamps, chrome bumperettes, and dual exhaust tips that exit through the rear valance. A faulty headlight switch was replaced after the NCRS judging.

Silver-finished 15” steel wheels feature three-eared knock-off spinner-style hubcaps and are mounted with Firestone Deluxe Champion-branded tires. The C2 was the first Corvette to offer fully independent suspension, with upper and lower control arms at the front and a three-link setup with a transverse leaf spring at the rear. Braking is handled by four-wheel power-assisted drums.

The cabin features two bucket seats reupholstered in red vinyl as well as color-coordinated door panels and carpets. Amenities include a heater, an AM radio, an analog clock, and lap belts. Corrections since the NCRS judging include repairing the door locks, replacing the door sill plate screws, and adjusting the accelerator linkage.

The three-spoke steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 6,500-rpm redline as well as gauges for amperage, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 23k miles, approximately 100 of which have been added since the restoration under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.
