About this car

The car is powered by a replacement small block V8 paired with a four-speed manual transmission and is refinished in red over black vinyl upholstery. Equipment includes a white convertible soft top, 15″ Rally-style wheels, side-exit exhaust pipes, a Holley four-barrel carburetor, an Edelbrock intake manifold, an AM/FM radio, and concealed headlights.

The fiberglass body has been refinished in red, and it is fitted with a replacement white convertible soft top. Side exit exhaust pipes are fitted as well as flip-up headlamps, fender vents, quad tail lamps, and chrome bumperettes.

Rally-style 15″ wheels wear polished hub caps and trim rings and are mounted with BFGoodrich redline tires measuring 205/75. The C2 was the first Corvette to offer fully independent suspension, with upper and lower control arms at the front and a three-link setup with a transverse leaf spring at the rear. Suspension and braking overhauls in 2011 and 2012 are detailed in records in the photo gallery. The rear leaf spring was replaced in December 2021.

The cabin features two bucket seats upholstered in black vinyl as well as color-coordinated door panels and carpets. Amenities include a heater, an AM/FM radio, an analog clock, a Hurst shifter, and lap belts.

The three-spoke steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer as well as gauges for amperage, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 39k miles, approximately 1,500 of which were added under current ownership.
