About this car

This Waterfall Blue 1955 Ford F-100 pickup was delivered from the factory to Dearborn Motors of Salmon Arm, British Columbia, where it has remained registered since new. The truck is powered by a 239ci Power King Y-block V8, which is linked with a column-shifted, three-speed manual transmission, sending power to a Dana 44 rear end. It retains a V-double bar grille, a six-volt electrical system, an oil-bath air cleaner, unassisted steering and brakes, and a wood-plank bed floor. Its body was refurbished in the 1980s and again in 2003, and subsequent work has included services for its door latches, fuel system, carburetor, and exhaust.

Records indicate that the truck’s floors, running boards, and front bumper were replaced in 1980, followed by replacement glass in 1982. Additional bodywork circa 2003 included welding inner-fender patches, repairs to the rear fenders, and repainting the bedsides using a two-stage finish. The cargo box features a wood-plank floor with body-colored runners.

Mechanical service in 1980 included front-end and suspension work for U-joints, tie rods, king pins, bushings, shackles, the master cylinder, and additional components for the drum brakes, which were also overhauled in 2003.

The cab has brown and red vinyl upholstery, a headliner, sunvisors, and a heater. Service since 2018 has included replacing the door latches, left window regulator, and speedometer grommet.

A three-spoke steering wheel frames the 90-mph speedometer, which has a five-digit odometer showing 70k miles, a handful of which were added under current ownership.
