About this truck & 4x4

This 1950 Studebaker pickup was previously owned by a former local Studebaker club chapter president, who retrofitted a column-shifted three-speed manual transmission with overdrive, installed a 1953 truck rear end, and painted the frame. The truck is refinished in silver with black fenders over gray upholstery and powered by a replacement 170ci Champion inline-six. Equipment includes an exterior windshield visor, 15″ chrome-finish reverse wheels, four-wheel drum brakes, an aluminum radiator, a Carter carburetor, and turn signals.

The cab and bed were refinished in silver with black fenders, a tailgate was sourced and painted to match, and an exterior windshield visor was added. Additional features include painted bumpers, a chrome hood ornament, a split windshield, and dual side-view mirrors. The headlight dimmer switch and headlight bulbs have been replaced, and turn signals were added in 2025.

Chrome-finished 15″ reverse wheels with hubcaps are mounted with 235/75 Hankook Optimo tires. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel drum brakes. The kingpin bushings were replaced under prior ownership between 2019 and 2023. The steering box and brake fluids were flushed in 2024 and 2026.

The bench seat is trimmed in two-tone gray vinyl and accompanied by a color-coordinated painted dashboard and door panels. Appointments include a cabin heater, lap belts, rubberized floor mats, and a replacement rearview mirror.

The two-spoke steering wheel fronts a horizontal 100-mph speedometer and auxiliary gauges for amperage, fuel level, oil pressure, and coolant temperature. The five-digit odometer shows 49k miles, approximately 13 of which were added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown,
