About this car

1939 John Deere B offered at online auction by Repo Vehicle Holdings. Bank-sourced car with a clear title, VIN history report, no buyer fees and a 30-day return window. Open bidding with the full bid history visible.

Subsequent work performed under their ownership included installing a replacement magneto cap, valve cover gasket, fuel shut-off valve, sediment bowl, radiator hoses, and oil and fuel lines as well as overhauling the carburetor, paintwork, recoating the exhaust manifold and stack, resealing the brakes, and a fluid service. The tractor is finished in green with yellow accents, and power comes from a 2.4-liter twin linked with a dual-range, four-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes a rear power take-off shaft, a rear pin hitch, a side-mounted belt pulley, narrow-width front wheels, and adjustable-width rear wheels.

The Model B was produced at the John Deere factory in Waterloo, Iowa, between 1935 and 1952, and “styled” body updates, including the addition of a screen-style grille, were introduced for the 1939 model year.

Yellow-finished steel wheels are mounted with Firestone 5.00-15″ front and 11.2–36″ rear tires. The tractor is equipped with a tricycle front axle for row crops, and the rear track width is adjustable. The rear axles were repainted in 2026, and the rear brakes were removed and resealed at that time.

The green-finished steel seat is mounted on a Model B-branded stand with a spring support. A shifter lever is mounted on top of the transmission case, and other controls include a clutch lever, a hand throttle, and dual pedals for the individual rear brakes.
