About this car

The car is finished in bronze over tan cloth upholstery, and power comes from a 201ci inline-six paired with a three-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes 16″ wood-spoke wheels, chrome bumpers, a ram radiator mascot, turn signals, running boards, rear-hinged doors, an under-dash heater, rear lap belts, and a rear window shade.

The DP four-door sedan was Dodge’s best-selling model for 1933, with 69,074 units produced. This example is said to have been repainted in its current bronze in 1947, and a replacement windshield and chrome trim were installed during the refurbishment. Details include chrome front and rear bumpers, trumpet-style horns, a ram radiator mascot, running boards, rear-hinged doors, and Dodge-branded taillights. Dents and other imperfections in the finish can be seen in the gallery.

The cabin features front and bench seats trimmed in tan tufted cloth along with a color-coordinated headliner and door panels. Replacement tan carpets were installed during the refurbishment, and rear lap belts were also added. Additional details include a painted steel dashboard with woodgrain accents, an Arvin under-dash heater, woodgrain window trim, and a rear window shade. Areas of wear on the upholstery can be seen in the gallery.

The black three-spoke steering wheel fronts a textured instrument panel that houses a 100-mph speedometer and gauges for fuel level, oil pressure, water temperature, and amperage.

The 201ci inline-six features a Stromberg carburetor, and it was factory rated at 75 horsepower. The engine was rebuilt during the refurbishment, and an invoice for the service can be seen in the gallery. The six-volt generator was serviced in 2023, and a replacement battery was also installed at that time.
